Dr. Stephannie L. Addo-Zuniga has been a long time advocate for Autism in honor of her first born child, that received his diagnosis at the age of 18mths.

As a teen and early adult years Dr. Stephannie had the chance to work extensively with the special needs population, through volunteering, internships, and work. Once she had her son, she realized there was a distinct difference between working with people with disabilities and actually raising a child that has a disability.

Dr. Stephannie began to see that in her community there was very little extra curricular programs for her son to participate. She reached out to other parents across the NYC area and saw that she was not the only one with this problem.

From that point on she decided to take matters in her own hands and create programs, and events for children with Autism.

Dr. Stephannie has hosted:

  • The First Annual Autism Easter Ball

  • Champs For Autism Fashion Show 2015, 2016, 2017, & 2018

Her goal is to create a platform that will enhance children with Autism and give them hope and encouragement. She believes that every child with or without a disability is entitled to have extra curricular activities and be given a platform to express their talents.  Dr. Stephannie hopes that through her actions she will inspire other families to begin creating the programs they wish for their children to have.
